Dental Implants

Whether you have lost all your teeth, a few of them, or even just one tooth, dental implants should be considered as an option to restore lost teeth.

Though complex, the treatment methods employed for dental implants consist of two main parts which can be broken down as follows:

Fixture:
- A small titanium fixture (implant) is placed in the bone in the site of the missing tooth.

- Over time, the fixture fuses to the bone, acting as an anchor for the replacement tooth. This makes the entire structure highly secure and stable.

Restoration: A crown or bridge is attached to the fixture above the gum.

These two components make up a dental implant and can completely replace a missing tooth.

Dental implant surgery, like all types of surgical procedures, carries some degree of risk. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from a qualified health practitioner.
